- Acupressure Facial Exercise
Begin by taking a deep breath through the stomach and exhaling through the mouth. Familiarize
yourself with the pressure points on the facial chart before applying pressure to points 1-16 with
your middle fingers. Maintain pressure on each point for approximately ten seconds while
exhaling. The exercise is in two steps performed bilaterally on the face.
Step one – Exhale while applying pressure on the following points.
- Press point 1 in an upward motion. Hold for ten seconds while pressing your head into
your fingers. Repeat the process on points 2-7.
- Proceed by pressing points 8 and 9 with your middle finger only.
- Using your thumb, press point 10 in an upward motion.
- Using your middle fingers, press point 11 on both sides of the face in an upward motion
and hold for ten seconds.
- Using your thumb, press point 12 on both sides of the face in an upward motion.
- Using your middle fingers, press point 13 for ten seconds. Do the same for points 14
and 15 on both sides of the face and hold for ten seconds.
- Using both middle fingers, press point 16 (third eye).
Step two – Breathe normally during this step.
- Tap each point ten times with your middle finger. Follow in order of the pressure points
from 1-15 on each side of the face. Hold point 16 (do not tap).
- Complete the exercise by gently pressing the face from points 6-13, repeating the
process until the skin feels warm to the touch.
